CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is a global nonprofit organization that runs the world’s largest independent environmental disclosure system. Through standardized questionnaires and a transparent scoring framework, CDP encourages companies, cities, and governments to measure, manage, and publicly disclose their environmental impacts—particularly in the areas of climate change, water security, and forest protection. CDP’s ratings are structured across four performance levels: Disclosure (D-/D), Awareness (C-/C), Management (B-/B), and Leadership (A/A-).
Morimatsu LifeSciences earned Management-Level (B) ratings in both the Climate Change and Water Security core questionnaires. These results reflect the company’s systematic approach to identifying and assessing environmental risks—including water-related issues—and translating those insights into concrete improvement actions. The ratings highlight Morimatsu LifeSciences’ continued progress in key areas such as climate resilience, carbon reduction initiatives, governance frameworks, and environmental risk management, demonstrating measurable advancement in its overall environmental management capabilities.
EcoVadis is a leading global sustainability ratings provider focused on supply chains. Its assessment framework evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core areas—Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement—offering a comprehensive and widely recognized view of a company’s sustainability performance.
In 2025, Morimatsu’s Suzhou facility earned the EcoVadis Silver Medal, delivering a standout performance. While the Silver Medal is awarded to companies ranking in the top 15% worldwide, Morimatsu placed in the top 6% of all assessed companies—well above the Silver threshold and reflecting strong momentum toward higher rating levels. This achievement reflects the company’s well-established sustainability management system and its strong performance across environmental management, employee rights and workplace practices, business ethics, and sustainable procurement, meeting industry benchmarks.
