At the start of year 2022, Morimatsu signed a major project order with an American consumer goods giant to supply superior modular process systems in its new Japanese factory. The undertaking of this project once again proves the strength of Morimatsu in the aspects of process design, outstanding modular solution, digital service, global project delivery and so on.
In this project, a new plant covering an area of 100000 m2 is expected to be constructed, that would be the client’s first Asian super factory. After completion, it will become the most advanced manufacturing base in the world, which adopt cutting-edge technologies and engineering equipment with high standards.
The extreme modular concept adopted in the project has various advantages. It not only ensures simultaneous executions of plant and process modules constructions, shortening the entire project period, but also reduce management interfaces and mitigate risks in the project execution. In this project, Morimatsu will provide more than 70% process systems in the preparation areas, which include raw material weighing & preparation, finished product storage, CIP, pure water system, process and utility piping, etc.
In addition, the client was also deeply interested in Morimatsu’s digital service which include digital packaging system to code and record each part dismantled before delivery.
During the site installation phase, the designed installation location of each component can be identified by scanning the barcode with a smart phone. The component installation status will be updated and stored in the cloud center once the installation is finished. The authorized person in the project team can check the installation progress in a digital environment at anytime and anywhere, This will greatly increases installation efficiency and resource optimization for overseas project.
On the other hand, the digital operation and maintenance after the delivery of products is also an opportunity of further cooperation between the two parties. In the operation phase, we have electronic batch records, equipment operation and maintenance, operation training, etc. In terms of optimization, we have process analysis, fault analysis, etc. Digital operation and maintenance services not only enable customers to continuously experience the convenience brought by digitization, but also promote lean plant construction, operation, and management.
